Jumpking Trampoline
Nothing says fun like a backyard trampoline. Children and adults can bounce away hours in blissful exuberance, improving their strength balance, co-ordination and burning off energy. But how safe is a Jumpking trampoline?
There are many cheap trampolines on the market. These often don’t last and have dubious safety features. It seems to me you get what you pay for. I know I struggled for a long time with whether or not to have a trampoline at all given the reports that are written on their safety. I have to say after much research, Jumpking Trampolines are a good mix of value and attention to safety. They are the worlds largest producer of trampolines and have 3 brands in their portfolio; Bazoongi, Jumpod and Orbounder.
There is one thing I will never let my children do and that is jump on a trampoline without a good enclosure net. This allows the jumper to stay inside the trampoline and away from the springs and of course the drop to the ground. At the very minimum make sure you buy a trampoline with an enclosure, a strong stable base made of galvanised steel and take care of it, keeping it out of the elements.
Which trampoline is best for me?
So you have decided a trampoline is right for your family, but how do you compare what is available? Here are some tips. Buy the right size. Children grow and will want to use the trampoline in 3-4 years time, make sure it will last. Few teenagers and adults can resist the urge for a quick bounce. Only buy smaller than 12ft if you really don’t have space. Buy a reputable brand with a wide range of replacement parts and accessories.
Things to look for
- Springs – the optimum number for a 14ft trampoline is 96 x 8.5-inch springs
- 12 ft 80 x 8.5-inch
- Pads covering the springs should not be lightweight foam and have a a coating of heavyweight vinyl
- The Bed or mat, is almost always the same on all mid priced trampolines they rarely need replacing unless exposed to sparks from fire or torn with sharp objects.
- Trampoline Frames should be galvanized so they won’t rust and strong enough that they won’t break. Additional safety anchor kits should be purchased if you live in areas with high winds
- Safety net enclosure should allow visibility, be strong and easy to get in and out of. Buying the trampoline as a set combination will often mean the net is neatly integrated
- Availability of parts and accessories
